SOS
SOS, a ministry we have started at EBC helps encourage us to recycle as well as provide a product we can use in outreach ministry. Every container that you bring in is one container that doesn't have to unnecessarily take up space in our landfill. Trash is a serious problem. So many of the things we throw away will never deteriorate in the landfill, so why put them there when there is another alternative? It's one step towards becoming a “greener” church and a “greener” city. We need to teach our children and grandchildren, by example, how to take care of this beautiful planet God has given us, and to take care of the natural resources that are left. We have to start somewhere! The SOS Ministry is an awesome way we can take some of those salvaged containers, decorate and fill them, and share a little of God's love as we deliver them throughout our city and thank people for the jobs that they do.
